Professional, warm and with an un-erring eye for detail, we are dedicated to making your special day just as special as it can possibly be.

Covering Sussex and Kent and with more than 30 years between us creating and conducting fabulous ceremonies, we really know our onions. What’s more, we LOVE what we do and that comes through in every one of our ceremonies.

We are so mad about weddings and funerals that when we’re not busy conducting ceremonies, we’re busy training other people to become celebrants. We’ve made it our business to know everything there is to know about the work we do and we’ll use that knowledge to ensure the smooth-running of your event. We are multi-talented and multi-award-winning but mostly we’re obsessed about making your day the best and most meaningful it can be.

Who are We?

Kate and Kate are Best Mates! We share the same values in life, are both perfectionists, professional, hard-working and laugh … a lot! We’ve built three businesses together, had a lot of fun and shed a few tears along the way!

We’re often compared to Ant and Dec, or Jen and Dawn and people often ask us if we’re married. Yes, we are … but not to each other!

Weddings

You want your frock to rock, your suit to be cute, your ring to be bling and your nosh to be posh … so why compromise on your ceremony? What we don’t know about a wedding ceremony, ain’t worth knowing – we’ve seen it all and dealt with it with aplomb and give each and every one of our couples the five-star treatment.

Funerals

As independent celebrants, we are passionate about changing the face of funerals in the UK. We are founders of a not-for-profit funeral education organisation called Coffin Club UK as we really want everyone to know that there’s no right or wrong way to conduct an end-of-life celebration, it’s whatever you feel captures and reflects the person who has died.

Where do I start! Dave and myself had Kate as our amazing celebrant on the 14th Sept 23 and it she honestly, made it one of the most special parts of the day. The story and script she crafted was so unique, adapted perfectly to us and had all of the guests captivated in our story. We had so many lovely remarks about how beautiful her script was, interactive and they all enjoyed actually getting to hear our story of being together. I had picked these lovely ladies through the venue recommendation (Pilgrims Rest) and I couldn't have been more delighted. She got the guests involved, giggling and we really felt the love. I also organised the wedding from abroad, which Kate was on her A-game with communication + zoom meetings; very thankful! I can truly say, these ladies are exceptional at what they do and will make your ceremony have that extra sparkle you need. Thanks again for creating the best day we've ever had!

Kate ... I don't even know where to start!!! You were bloody amazing and we had the best start to our wedding ever at Gildredge Manor. We couldn't of imagined a better ceremony or think of a better person to lead it. You put us at ease and made us laugh very much which is exactly what we wanted. Our guests were blown away by you, one in particular who has always said she will never get married, who turned around to her other half after the ceremony and said I want to get married now but only by her! You are one in a million, keep doing what you do and never change; you are amazing!
